Office lounges — 13 of Japan’s best

Sofas, cafés and planted corners — the lounges where Japanese offices take a break, meet and change scene.

In a Japanese office the lounge has taken over from the old tea corner as the place where departments meet. It is used for breaks, short discussions, lunch and a change of scene from the desk, and many companies now put it right by the entrance.
