PSA — Tokyo: “Layer”, in a logistics warehouse

PSA, which the designers describe as the world’s largest grading company in the trading-card market, set up its first grading division in Japan inside a logistics warehouse in Tokyo. Steven Leach Group took “Layer” as the concept for the 5,000 m² (53,820 sq ft) space: cards stacked one on another, and trust built up over years.

Concept

Layer

Just as the company has stacked one card upon another, it has built up trust and achievements over the years. “Layer” honours that and expresses the wish for the build-up to continue.

To keep costs under control, the raw structure of the warehouse was left exposed and new materials, colours and design elements were layered around it.
