Recruit Umeda — Osaka: a park called CO-EN on the 33rd floor

Concept

Two kinds of connection

The four floors and few chances to meet people from other divisions made cross-team talk hard. The goal became “a state where people know someone in another area”.

The working floors express connection within an area; the refresh spaces express connection across areas.

01 · Work floors

90 online booths

Surveys showed a shortage of meeting rooms. About 90 online booths were added so rooms are used properly, plus open meeting spaces next to the desks, designed with sound in mind, and free notice boards.

02 · CO-EN

Sanpachi and Sansan

CO-EN stands for park and “co-encounter”. On the 38th floor, “Sanpachi” is a white and natural space for events of 20 to 30 people, its logo combining the number 38 with the manzai microphone. On the 33rd, “Sansan” is a large space with an office counter and a convenience store, four Osaka colours and a big sign, arranged around a semicircular counter.
