NTT Plala — Tokyo: “Your Plaza”, an office drawn from an illustration

With remote work now possible, NTT Plala redefined its office as a place for co-creation, pride and recognition — somewhere people would be excited to come in to. Gensler took the concept “Your Plaza” from the company name, removed fixed seats, and designed agile spaces and a co-working café from the world of an illustration.

Concept

Your Plaza

The company name carries the idea of a cheerful plaza, and that became the concept: “Your Plaza”, a square for staff who bring the brand vision to life.

Mechanisms for engagement — between colleagues and with outside partners — were built into the whole office.

Fixed seats were abolished in principle. People choose among agile spaces with movable panels, the Co-working Cafe and other settings.

02 · One brand, everywhere

From the entrance sign to an app

The spaces follow the world of the illustration that inspired “Your Plaza”, and the same branding runs through the entrance sign, the user guide, goods, a video and a mobile app.
