FWD Fuji Life Insurance — Tokyo: “Deconstruction & Re-creation”

FWD Fuji Life Insurance consolidated its offices into a new Tokyo headquarters, to start its culture in Tokyo and redefine what a life insurer can be. System-O Design Consulting followed FWD’s global design standard but wove Japanese culture and business habits into the 6,000 m² (64,583 sq ft) design, with “Adaptation of Future Demands” always in mind.

Concept

Deconstruction & Re-creation

To merge two corporate cultures, two ways of working, and past and future, the designers felt they first had to break the usual stereotypes and then lay new foundations.

New elements emerge irregularly from the ceilings and walls of the reception and client area, expressing the rise of the new brand and growth to come.
