Concept
Two head offices, one idea
The company’s stated belief is that good business comes from a good environment, and its offices are meant to make people meet. In Shibuya that means a floor high above one of Tokyo’s best-known department stores, with a lounge, a café and bar, and an incubation space all named Pangaea — the supercontinent, a single land where everything was joined.
In Daikanyama, the Digital Gate Building holds the payments business and research teams, with an event space and a penthouse at the top.

01 · Shibuya: reception
Two desks and a gate
The Shibuya floor has a general reception and a Digital Garage reception. Past them is the Dragon Gate.

02 · Shibuya: work
Office, meeting and lounge space
Office space, meeting space and a lounge fill the rest of the floor, shared by Digital Garage’s own teams and its group companies.

03 · Shibuya: Pangaea
A café and bar, a store, an incubator
Pangaea is the name for the social side of the floor: Pangaea Cafe & Bar, Pangaea Store and the Pangaea incubation centre for startups.

04 · Daikanyama
The Digital Gate Building
In 2009 Digital Garage moved its head-office functions and its group companies, then spread across Tokyo, into one building to work more efficiently. It now houses the payments business, new ventures in real-estate tech and blockchain, and the research organisation, along with an event space and a penthouse.

05 · Beyond Tokyo
Yokosuka and San Francisco
DG CAMP AKIYA, in Yokosuka, is an incubation hub between the sea and the hills, with an ocean-view conference room called Dragon Gate AKIYA. DG717 in San Francisco opened in November 2013 to invest in and support US startups.
