BULK HOMME — Minato: a men’s skincare brand in a warehouse

BULK HOMME, the men’s skincare brand whose vision is to be number one in the world for men’s skincare, moved its head office to a new site in Minato, Tokyo. The 568 m² office follows one idea, “Warehouse”: bare steel, larch plywood and rough, honest parts, down to the light switches and lever handles.

Concept

Warehouse

Every detail was matched to the “Warehouse” concept. Steel is left in its raw finish and larch plywood is used throughout, so the materials show what they are.

The designers paid attention to small parts too: switches and lever handles were chosen for the same rough, plain character.

01 · Arrival

A shower booth at the door

At the entrance stands a symbolic reception booth in the form of a shower booth, a nod to a skincare brand and a small surprise for visitors.

02 · Work

Steel and plywood at the desks

The working floor carries the same palette: steel frames, plywood surfaces and simple fittings, so that the office feels like one piece from door to desk.
