Two days in, and an office built to deserve them
Mercari moved two floors up in Roppongi Hills in December 2025 and named the result CultureHub — an office built to answer one question: when remote work is normal, what is worth coming in for?
The policy behind it is Hybrid Workstyle: at least two office days a week as the baseline, full flextime, and 10:00–16:00 as the window for company-wide events.

LINE Yahoo pays for the days you travel
LINE Yahoo sets the baseline at three or more office days a week combined with remote work, with full flextime and no core hours. Commuting is paid per office day up to ¥150,000 a month, and a Working Style allowance of ¥11,000 a month goes towards a good set-up at home.
03 · The office has to earn the visit
pixiv and Dwango let people choose, then make the floor interesting
pixiv states it directly: staff are free to work at the office or remotely, so the office has to earn its visits — with space for focus, space for play and plenty to talk about. Dwango, above the kabuki theatre in Ginza, says most staff work remotely much of the time and the office is for the days they come in.

DeNA and ZOZO put the limit on the map, not the calendar
DeNA staff work from home or any WeWork and other flexible offices, and employees living far away have no daily commuting cap — up to ¥150,000 a month, by plane or ferry if needed, with approval. ZOZO runs two office days and three remote for business teams, and fully remote from anywhere in Japan for engineers.
