Concept
A headquarters in mid-transformation
NTT DATA treats workstyle reform as a management issue, and the headquarters shows it. Work floors have no partitions, and the company is rolling out clean desks and free-address seating — nobody owns a desk; you sit where the day’s work takes you.
One floor of the Annex, home to the Facility Management division, has been rebuilt as a next-generation pilot office: free address to save cost, lower CO₂ and easier collaboration, a test bed for the offices that follow.
01 · Arrival
Straight in from the platform
The building is one minute from Toyosu Station on the Yurakucho line, and the ground-floor entrance lobby is deliberately calm and heavy — the face the company shows its clients.
02 · Meetings
Rooms of every size
Meeting rooms large and small fill both buildings. The company’s flagship projects are born in these rooms.
03 · Workspace
No partitions
The work floors have no partitions between desks, a choice made for easy communication between colleagues. Free-address seating is being introduced floor by floor.
04 · Pilot office
The Facility Management floor
The FM division’s floor in the Annex is the company’s pilot for the next office: free address, lower cost and CO₂, and layouts tuned for working together on projects.
05 · Canteen
Two floors of food, twice
Each building gives two whole floors to the staff canteen. A dedicated nutritionist plans the daily menus, from buffet to set meals, and outside meal hours the floors open up as meeting space with a view over Toyosu.
06 · Prayer space & the view
Room for every background
A Prayer Space serves employees and visitors who pray during the day — part of making the building workable for people of every background. Outside the windows, the Toyosu district keeps rebuilding itself.
