Game Freak — Tokyo: an office laid out like a game world

Game Freak develops home video games, including the Pokémon series, and smartphone games. When its head office moved to a larger, more secure space to accommodate growth, Canuch designed the 2,860 m² (30,790 sq ft) office on the theme of the adventurous spirit, using the first two Pokémon games, Red and Green, as the motif.

Concept

An adventurous spirit

The company’s philosophy values dreams, courage and an adventurous spirit, and serious research into the source of things.

The office was designed to encourage discovery and meeting companions — in the designers’ words, the best parts of an adventure — and the creation of fun.
