Concept
Built around the desks that cannot move
A brokerage has one room that fixes everything else: the dealing room. Here it sits against a world map and a clock wall showing the hours in the major cities — the background the company uses when the press comes to film.
Everything else is loose. The work floor is free address, so that people sit by the project rather than the department, and meetings run as hybrids on large monitors, with the paperwork moved online.

The desks are unassigned and the floor is open, which the company says is what keeps the argument between departments going.
02 · Café area
The 28th floor, and Mt Fuji
The café area — named after the line “making finance more interesting” — has seats along the windows with the whole city below. At lunchtime, the company admits, they are fought over.

Screens on every wall
Meetings run on large monitors with people in the room and on the call at once.
04 · Rooms of every size
From the board room down
Beyond the main meeting rooms the floor carries smaller ones, down to a room for two. The company also runs its own video studio here, so that a market view can go out the same day.
