Tokyu Land — Shibuya: an office read floor by floor, up to a sky terrace

Concept

An office told as a climb

Rather than describe a concept, the company simply shows the building floor by floor. Visitors arrive in the entrance hall, clients are received on the 5th, staff work on the 7th, and the upper floors open into free space and a terrace in the sky.

Behind it sits a change in how people work: flexitime and remote work, so that time and place are chosen rather than given.

Where guests are met

The 5th floor holds reception and the visitor floor.

02 · Meetings (5F)

A meeting space and two rooms

Beside reception are an open meeting space and closed meeting rooms.

03 · Work floor (7F)

The floor where the work happens

The 7th floor is the work floor.

04 · Free space (9F & 10F)

Two floors with no fixed use

The 9th and 10th floors are free space — open areas staff use as the day requires.

05 · Sky terrace (21F)

Outside, twenty-one floors up

The climb ends on the 21st floor, on a terrace open to the sky over Shibuya.
