Concept
A floor with no walls
The company describes its development floors in a single line: open, and without partitions between productions. Desks are curved and arranged in a web, and a small meeting table sits at the centre of each cluster, so a discussion can start where people already are.
The white wall at the end of the floor is a whiteboard, and the company says many projects hold their morning meeting standing in front of one.
01 · Development floor
Meetings kept inside the room
Meeting spaces are built into the development floor itself, many of them along the windows, so the light holds even in a long discussion. Closed rooms next to them handle video and telephone meetings with group companies in Japan and abroad.
02 · Motion capture
Two stages, large and small
The office holds two motion-capture studios built on the latest system. The larger stage can record a wide area with a large cast of actors at once; a foyer between the stages is used for briefings and as a place for actors to rest.
03 · Sound studios
Where the music is mixed
The sound studios mix the music, the movies and the event scenes, with recording booths beside them. The rooms are lined in timber and kept dark, with the monitors facing a single working position.
04 · Communication space
A room to stop in
The communication spaces are open to everyone in the building: somewhere to eat, to meet informally, or to work away from a desk for an hour.
