Mitsubishi HC Capital — Marunouchi: the palace out of one window, Mt Fuji out of another

Mitsubishi HC Capital works two minutes from Tokyo Station, in the Shin-Marunouchi Building. Guests are received on the 25th floor, where the windows look over the Imperial Palace and, on a clear day, as far as Mt Fuji; the meeting rooms below run from a conference hall to rooms for four.

Concept

An address that is part of the work

The building is connected underground to Tokyo Station’s Marunouchi north exit and to Otemachi, which for a finance company is part of the specification: clients arrive without going outside.

The reception floor makes the most of the height. The windows give the Imperial Palace in full, and the company notes that Mt Fuji appears on a clear day — a view that does a certain amount of the hosting by itself.

The large conference room takes company-wide events, training and internships. A room for twelve is used when a discussion needs concentration; a room for six takes client meetings; a room for four takes the shorter ones.
