Hapag-Lloyd — Hanzōmon: views of the Imperial garden for everyone

Container shipping line Hapag-Lloyd left the building it had occupied for more than twenty years and moved to a new one in Hanzōmon, on the edge of the Imperial garden next to the British Embassy. Steven Leach Group planned the 920 m² (9,903 sq ft) office so that every employee could enjoy the green views.

Concept

Views for all

The site looks onto greenery on both sides, and using that view for all staff was a guiding principle.

The company also moved to a more agile way of working, with free-address seating and a range of settings to get people moving and mixing.
